Background Progress and Treats

As I had mentioned prior, I am still in the process of making the background for this blog.  I'm the one that made the background for Obsessive Corgi Disorder and thought I needed one for my blog.  I thought people would, however, like to see what I have so far.

Also, I decided to try my hand at treat making.  Buddy, my mother's Bichon, is my test subject for this.  Below is a video of his reaction to the final result.  The recipe is below the video.

The reason why this is so significant is that Buddy values my mother more than anything in this house, and he left her for the treat. That is something special with that dog.

Recipe

3/4 c meat juice
1/2 c Margarine
1/2 c milk
1/2 ts Salt
2 ts sugar
1 egg beaten
3 c flower
1/2 c cornmeal

In a large bowl, pour meat juice over margarine. Stir in milk, salt, sugar, and egg. Add flour, 1/2 cup at a time mixing well after each addition. Mix in cornmeal. Knead 3 to 4 minutes, adding more flour if necessary to make very stiff dough. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness and cut out with cookie cutter. Placed on a greased baking sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Allow to cool and dry till hard. These treats can be placed side by side since there is no rising.

Just setting up

So I had been following many blogs with my Google reader and decided I should start up my own blog.  I follow mostly dog blogs, corgis in particular, and will be sort of starting as just a place to repost articles of interest, new items for my etsy site UnlimitedGlassWorks.etsy.com, and will eventually be about whatever corgi I eventually acquire after my husband and I have jobs again.  Right now I just don't know where I will be living or even what state.  So we'll just have to wait and see and cross our fingers.

Now I doubt that there is anyone reading this yet, but just in case someone stumbles onto this place, I'm currently making a background for it.  It's going to have 11 corgis of varying types/colors wearing candy bar costumes. Nothing too bad.  Anyways, I am having difficulty coming up with names of corgi appropriate candy bar names.  Here is an example of one of the corgis.
